I want you to feel that whatever you are facing, someone recognizes the excitement, fear, and worry that may come with the night before a day that matters. That is the message I want DAYBFOR to carry. Sometimes, I think simply having your feelings acknowledged can be a comfort.
The message I would want someone to receive
Recently, I was asked what I would want someone to read on a short card if they received D-1 as a gift. My answer was about what that person might be carrying into tomorrow. Translated from my Korean note:
Whatever situation someone is in, whatever they are going through, I want to convey that DAYBFOR is there with them in the excitement, fear, and worry of the night before an important day. Sometimes, I think it can be comforting just to have someone recognize what you’re feeling.
Those words describe my intention for the brand. They are the message I would like to offer, rather than a report of how a customer felt after using our mask. I do not know every person’s circumstances, and I would not want to assume them.
Room for more than excitement
The phrase “big day” can suggest a celebration. But a day can matter to you for many reasons. A wedding, an interview, or meeting someone important may bring anticipation alongside questions you cannot answer yet. These are examples of the evenings our idea can speak to, not stories I have collected from customers.
When I say I want DAYBFOR to be there with you, I mean that I want our message to make room for those mixed feelings. You may be looking forward to tomorrow and worried about it at the same time. I want the words around our product to acknowledge both.
That is how I think about our idea, The Night Before Your Big Day. The night before belongs to the person living it. The feeling I hope to communicate begins with recognizing that.
A product within an ordinary evening
My own time with D-1 often looks quite ordinary. I wear it while working at my computer or doing things around the house: laundry, cleaning, opening packages. In an earlier note, I described how convenient that feels to me. I am getting on with what I was doing, without the sense of waiting for the mask to be finished.
That is my personal experience. Yours may be different. It is one way to understand how a mask can have a place in an evening that already contains other things. You can read the application steps in our D-1 application guide.

When you are giving D-1 to someone else
The question about a gift card brought me back to something simple: a few words can recognize that an important day is approaching. If you are giving a mask to someone, you can let the message come from what you actually know about them. You do not need to guess the rest of their story.
The practical part still matters: whether they enjoy sheet masks, whether the ingredients suit their needs, and whether there is time to become familiar with a new product. Our sheet-mask gifting checklist covers those decisions. The thought I am adding here is the feeling behind the gesture: remembering the person as well as the occasion.
A familiar place for D-1
DAYBFOR is our brand, and D-1 Bio-Cellulose Mask is the mask we make. Bio-cellulose, also written as biocellulose, names its sheet material. Our current guidance suggests getting to know D-1 ahead of the important day, so its application can feel familiar when that evening arrives. [1]
Read the directions supplied with your mask and remove D-1 before sleeping. For general facial-mask guidance, the American Academy of Dermatology advises a small-area test before first use, following the label, and washing a mask off immediately if itching, burning, or stinging occurs. [2] Ask us to clarify if your pack and the website give different directions.
What I hope the message leaves with you
Whatever tomorrow holds, I want DAYBFOR to acknowledge the person preparing for it. The excitement belongs in that thought, and so do the fear and worry. When I was asked what I wanted someone to read, that was where my answer went.
Sometimes, I think being understood can be a comfort. That is the feeling I hope our words can carry into your evening.
