How Do You Apply the DAYBFOR D-1 Bio-Cellulose Mask?

D-1 application sequence: unfold with two mesh layers, remove one, position the mask, then remove the remaining mesh.

Unfold D-1 with both protective mesh layers attached, peel off one mesh, position the exposed mask against your face, and then remove the second mesh. The bio-cellulose sheet is the part you wear. Follow the current directions supplied with your mask for wear time and removal, and take it off before going to sleep.

DAYBFOR JOURNAL · APPLICATION GUIDE

A practical guide to the two protective mesh layers—and the sheet that stays on your skin.

At DAYBFOR, our idea is simple: make room for yourself on the night before a day that matters. Applying a mask should feel like an understandable part of that evening. This guide focuses on handling D-1, especially the moment when the protective layers can make a first application feel unfamiliar.

Before you open the pouch

Read the directions on your pack first, including the ingredient list and any precautions. Keep them nearby while you apply the mask. If the instructions on your packaging differ from a website or this guide, contact DAYBFOR for clarification before choosing between them.

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends testing a new facial mask on a small area first and following the product’s labeled wear time. If itching, burning, or stinging occurs, remove the mask and wash it off immediately. [1]

What are the two mesh layers for?

D-1’s bio-cellulose sheet sits between two protective mesh layers. Those outer layers support the sheet while you unfold and position it. They are removed during application; they are not two extra treatment masks.

The distinction is useful when you open the pouch: the whole layered piece is easier to handle at first, but only the mask sheet remains against your skin once application is complete. Keep the layers together until the folded mask is fully opened.

Apply D-1, step by step

1. Start with clean, dry skin

Cleanse your face and gently pat it dry. Before opening the pouch, give yourself a moment to read the steps through. You will be removing the mesh in two stages, with positioning in between.

2. Unfold with both mesh layers in place

Take the mask out and gently unfold it. Leave both protective layers attached as you open it out. This lets you find the eye, nose, and mouth openings before handling the exposed sheet.

3. Peel away the first mesh

Remove the mesh from one side. Either side can come off first. Keep the second mesh attached for support. The newly exposed side of the bio-cellulose mask is the side that goes against your face.

4. Position the mask

Bring the exposed sheet to your face and press it on. Align the eye, nose and mouth openings, then gently adjust the sheet across your face. Leave the remaining mesh in place while you make these adjustments. Aim for a comfortable fit without pulling forcefully.

5. Remove the remaining mesh

Once the mask is positioned, gently peel off the second protective layer. Check that both mesh layers have been removed and the bio-cellulose sheet is still in place. You are now ready for the wearing stage described on your pack.

Let the label set the timing

Use the wear time specified in the current instructions supplied with D-1. Set a reminder if that helps you keep track. Do not substitute the timing from another mask simply because its sheet looks similar or its name also includes “bio-cellulose.”

Wearing a facial mask beyond its intended time can cause irritation, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. [1] A longer session is not a reason to expect a better result. D-1 belongs in your evening routine; remove it before sleep.

Finish gently

Follow your pack’s removal and aftercare directions. If the sheet has dried and is difficult to lift, D-1’s product guidance advises moistening it with water before removal. Avoid pulling a dry sheet forcefully from your skin.

After normal removal, D-1’s guidance is to gently press in the remaining essence without rinsing. This does not override the advice to remove and wash off a mask that causes irritation. Keep the product instructions close enough to check again if needed.

Your night-before ritual

The DAYBFOR D-1 Bio-Cellulose Mask is our bio-cellulose mask for The Night Before Your Big Day. “Biocellulose” is another spelling you may encounter for the material. Whichever spelling you see, the directions belong to the particular product.
